NBC Sports Network recovering from hockey lockout
The network’s decision to drop UFC fighting also played a part. “In December, its worst month, an average of 58,000 homes tuned in to the channel during prime time compared with 158,000 homes the previous year,” the Inquirer said.The ratings at Comcast’s NBC Sports Network were slashed by nearly two-thirds in the final quarter of 2012, largely because there were not NHL games to show because of the long hockey lockout, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
